I was driving along a country road when I spotted a male roe deer buck that was looking out of the purple foliage. The soft evening light gave the phacelia field a pastel glow, applying vibrant tones to blend into a dreamy backdrop. Remaining in the car provided a natural hide, allowing me to capture this moment without disturbing the deer. Eventually, the deer walked straight towards my lens whilst still being alert of his surroundings. Using a low aperture, it allowed me to capture a diffused background, creating emphasis on the young buck and its fine details.
